DNA Relatives and Countries of Ancestry
The only Top relative surname that I recognize is Fontenot which was my paternal grandmother's maiden name.
Countries of Ancestry is not that surprising as I figured that most of my European heritage would be English, Irish and French in origin.
I've got that Canadian connection via the French Canadian Creole ancestor.....
It seems like DNA Relatives and Countries of Ancestry is only picking up on European Ancestry. Even amongst distant relatives, I have very few African American matches, and no African matches. Most of relatives are the result of my Colonial roots in Kentucky, VA, and North Carolina. I also have a few Creole/Cajun cousins from Louisiana and Texas.
